An ex-fashion model of the top class who was 5'10'' tall. Carey was a favorite with top American designers, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father is a distinguished scientist who was named Scientist of the Year back in 1979, at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. The father of Carey was a geologist who traveled across the globe as part of his career. In the years of her college when she was modeling for a small amount of time and was able to attract the attention to Ford model Agency representatives in New York. Following her move to France in the summer of 1999, where she resided in Paris, Bordeaux and New York, she decided to go back home to New York and continue her studies. In the next few months, Vogue, Glamour and various other magazines featured her on their covers. Between modeling gigs, she was also a full-time student obtaining a major in literary studies at New York University. Gradually she became interested in acting and studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. In 1986 she began her career in acting with a minor character as a minor character in "Club Paradise" in the film "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams.
